Here we have a very cool and collectible player pre-CBS Jazzmaster from 1964. The neck date is November of 1964, and we can see the 64 on one of the potentiometers. All of the wiring components appear to be original. The tuning keys have been changed, but luckily with a direct replacement so no extra holes have been drilled in the neck.
The body was originally a Sunburst finish, and has been refinished in white lacquer. The celluloid-tortoise pickguard is in great condition with some normal player scratches and it looks great with the white finish. We are currently missing the original trem arm, but are looking for it. We also do not have the original case unfortunately.
The neck is still has it's original finish that has lots of player wear in the back of it. The rosewood fretboard looks great. The frets have some player wear on them. Not as much wear on the frets as we would expect with the wear on the back of the neck, which is pointing to a very good re-fret??
