1979 was the 25th Anniversary of the Stratocaster that debuted in 1954. To celebrate, Fender made a special model to celebrate the occasion. Due to some push back to the 3 bolt neck joint from guitar players, Fender went back to the good old 4 bolt on the Anniversary model. Another change they made was to not utilize the bullet truss rod system, and go back to the original style of truss rod at the body end of the neck.

The colour of this guitar is actually Porsche Silver (officially called "25th Anniversary Stratocaster Silver"), but as most of these guitars aged the silver finishes oxidized into a distinct golden hue, which looks amazing!!!!

The tuning keys on the Anniversary model are Sperzel designed, the latest and greatest tuners of the day.

The guitar features an ash body, which back in 1979 were way heavier than previous years. This particular guitar weighs in at 10lbs. It has 3 original high output grey bobbin single coil pickups, and what appear to be all of the original pots and switch.

It is in good condition with some fret wear in the first and second position. The body has some really nice checking. There are some dings, dents, and scratches as seen in the pictures, but they are expected on a guitar of it's age that has been played.

It comes with it's original hard case too!!!
